We’ve had a light dusting of snow overnight. It doesn’t happen often on Islay, so it’s always exciting when we get a bit of the white stuff.

Old Bourbon casks are used to mature scotch single malt and blending whisky. However, sherry and other wine casks are used too. Here’s a new batch awaiting to be filled at Bunnahabhain distillery. Bunnahabhain is just a short walk or drive from Ardnahoe Shepherds hut.
