Kintra beach can be found at the southern end of The Big Strand. The Big Strand is the longest beach on Islay stretching 12 km along the edge of Laggan Bay.
A day at the beach Although it was a little cloudy the big surf at Saligo never disappoints. Walking along the smooth sands, untouched by others footsteps. Weaving around dark outcrops of rock. No one there to disturb us except the occasional sheep peeking over the grass.
